The WarSeer Unofficial 40K FAQ Project presents the Codex: Eldar FAQ
Wintermute 23/02/2008 - 08:41
After several months we have finally completed the Warseer (unofficial) Eldar FAQ. We hope this is a valuable resource for both Eldar and non-Eldar players alike. I'd like to thank all those who contributed to the discussions and question gathering - a great effort by everyone :) The new Eldar FAQ has been produced as a pdf which can be downloaded from here [549 Kb; More information about the project, and our previous FAQ can be found here Matt NewsTagsRe: The WarSeer Unoffcial 40K FAQ Project presents the Codex: Eldar FAQ

I have some clarification of war-walkers with 2 weapons not being twin-linked. This is found in WD 323 page 29 where it states that a 'anti-infantry' walker with two scatter lasers has eight shots per turn. Re: The WarSeer Unoffcial 40K FAQ Project presents the Codex: Eldar FAQ

Title is misspelt! Re: The WarSeer Unoffcial 40K FAQ Project presents the Codex: Eldar FAQ

I gotta disagree with the statement that any model below 50% that comes under the influence of the Avatar becomes fearless. Fearless says that they automatically pass any leadership that they take. Below 50% says that they don't even get to take a leadership test. Thus they would continue to flee until off the table. Re: The WarSeer Unoffcial 40K FAQ Project presents the Codex: Eldar FAQ

Yep. They aren't allowed to rally - with or without Avatar. The Tyranids have a similar rule but the codex explicitly states that they are allowed to rally under the influence of the Hive Mind. The Eldar codex does not! Re: The WarSeer Unoffcial 40K FAQ Project presents the Codex: Eldar FAQ

Very nice, honestly i looked thru the codex a million times and never saw the maugan ra executioner on another page lol. anyways the only thing i see (besides the avatar thing i kind of agree with the dissenters) is DA bladestorm.seems to me although it's not explicit,it says that da's reloading do so in the "shooting phase" and if they were to take any other action in that phase it would supercede reloading and they would have to wait another turn to shoot, however they should be able to assault as they would have already reloaded in the previous phase of the same turn. anyways thats just knit-picking great job thanks Re: The WarSeer Unoffcial 40K FAQ Project presents the Codex: Eldar FAQ

I don't follow the change to Doom - why disallow it on your own units? I always thought that was the point of it saying "reroll to Wound", in contrast to Guide for example which explicitly says it only allows re-rolls of failed shooting (which is a shame for my Pathfinders...). Is there a discussion thread for this? I had a quick look but couldn't see one. read full thread |
